The Sunburst Snacks Team Needs You!
Since 2022, the DSANEO Sunburst Snacks program has been providing employment and skills training for adults with Down syndrome while sharing their delicious snack boxes with the community. This paid position provides employees (“Team Members”) the opportunity to develop essential skills for the workplace through the operation of our small snack box business.
Team Members plan, purchase, assemble and deliver curated boxes in a variety of flavors and gain experience in marketing, sales, networking and communications. To date we have employed and trained 25+ team members and Sunburst Snacks continues to grow. The team conducts pop-ups and delivers boxes in their van, which now needs a new transmission.
After working with the Ford Motor Company and Valley Ford Truck on the price, we are still left with a cost of over $5,000 to repair the van.
